4. OLED Monitor

The full form of OLED is Organic Light Emitting Diodes. OLED monitors are developed using advanced technology and are very thin in size and extremely lightweight. In these monitors, each pixel produces its own light, so there is no need for a separate backlight. When current is supplied, the organic layer glows and displays colors. Because of this, black appears extremely deep, higher contrast is achieved, and the screen can be made very thin.

Refresh Rate – This shows how many times per second the images on the monitor change. The more images a monitor refreshes per second, the more smoothly the image displayed on the screen will load.

Response Time – The time taken by a monitor to change from one color to another is called response time. For example, the time taken to go from black to white and then back to black is measured in milliseconds.

Difference Between Monitor and Television

Generally, a monitor is used with a computer, and a television is used for watching movies and TV shows. Both look similar in appearance, and similar technologies are used in both. However, there are some differences between a monitor and a television, which are explained below. Let us know:

  • The resolution of a monitor is higher than that of a TV, whereas the resolution of a TV is comparatively lower.
