Desktop Computer

If I continue to explain about desktop computers, a desktop computer is designed for one person, which means that only one person can use this computer at a time, therefore it is also called a personal computer. However, earlier computers used to be large in size and were used by many people at the same time. The desktop computer was the first personal computer that a single person used to complete their personal computing tasks. This computer was developed before the laptop and its design is quite different from a laptop. These computers are designed to fit on a desk. A desktop computer includes hardware devices such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and CPU. A desktop computer has a GUI-based operating system that provides a graphical interface to the user. Around 1982, Apple used a GUI-based operating system in the computer Apple 1 made by Apple, in which a mouse, keyboard, and monitor were connected to interact with the computer. After this, Microsoft released Windows around 1994 for use in desktop computers. Since then, desktop computers have permanently used a GUI-based operating system along with a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Let us learn more about desktop computers further.

A desktop computer is a fully developed personal computer that is designed to fit on a desk, and the user operates it while sitting on a chair, therefore it is called a desktop computer, although calling it a personal computer would not be wrong. In a desktop computer, all the main parts such as Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Storage Device, etc. are inside the system unit. External devices include input and output devices connected with the desktop such as Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse which are placed on the desk. Unlike laptops, desktop computers are plugged into the main power source instead of having an internal battery.
