For some time people have been talking about the next OnePlus phone and now slowly a few leaks are also starting to appear. This time the discussion is around OnePlus 15T.
The company has not made any official announcement yet, but on the internet some early renders and design leaks are being shared. Looking at those images it feels like OnePlus might try a slightly different approach this time.
Some people are even saying the brand could again focus on a compact flagship idea. Meaning the phone may still be powerful, but the size might not be as big as many phones we see these days.
What the OnePlus 15T design leak suggests
The renders that appeared online do not show the full picture clearly, but still a few things can be noticed.
First thing is the phone body looks quite slim. It seems OnePlus could try to keep the thickness lower so the phone does not feel too heavy in the hand.
Many flagship phones these days become a little bulky because of large batteries and big camera modules. But from these leaks it feels like OnePlus might be trying to keep a balance this time.
The camera module also looks a bit different. The exact shape is not fully clear yet, although some reports suggest a square or rectangle style module.
Why people are talking about a compact display
Now the most interesting part is the display size discussion.
Some leaks suggest the display could be around 6.3-inch. Now that number may still sound big, but if you look at the current market many flagship phones are already reaching 6.7 or even 6.8 inches.
So compared to that, this size might actually feel a little compact.
The advantage of a compact phone is simple. It fits more easily in the pocket and using it with one hand becomes a bit more comfortable.
A lot of users are honestly getting a little tired of very large phones, so if OnePlus really brings a compact flagship then many people may actually like the idea.
Slim body and premium look
In the design renders the edges of the phone appear quite clean and smooth. It looks like the device could use a metal frame along with a glass back.
OnePlus phones usually follow a simple design language. They are not extremely flashy but they still manage to give a premium feel.
Some renders also show thin bezels around the display. If the final product keeps that design then the screen-to-body ratio might look quite good.
Of course these are still early images, so the final phone could end up looking slightly different.
Possible changes in the camera module
There is also some discussion about the camera setup.
In the renders a large camera island can be seen on the back side. It is not fully clear how many sensors will be included, but in most flagship phones a triple camera setup is quite common now.
So it is possible we may see a main camera, an ultra-wide lens and maybe a telephoto lens as well.
OnePlus has also been working on camera tuning over the last few years, so improvements in the photography department would not be surprising.
When could the phone launch
The launch date has not been officially confirmed yet.
But according to industry leaks the phone might be announced somewhere in the middle months of 2026. T-series phones often arrive a few months after the main flagship, so the timing could follow that pattern again.
For now the company has not said anything publicly, which means these leaks should still be taken with some caution.
